Lead Pastor – Rev. Kevin Rector
I started my journey as lead pastor at Gallatin First Nazarene in September of 2017. I have found this to be one of the most loving and generous churches that I have ever encountered. There is a really strong desire to serve God and I consider it a great privilege to be the pastor here.
Prior to serving here I was the pastor of the Wausau Church of the Nazarene, in Wausau Wisconsin, and Liberty Church of the Nazarene in Vilonia, Arkansas. Before that, I was a layman in Nashville, Tennessee, where I was a computer programmer and served my local church while preparing for ministry at Trevecca Nazarene University.
I have a masters degree from Trevecca in Practical Theology and a bachelors degree in business management from Olivet Nazarene University.
I met my wife Andrea while I was living in Nashville and we were married in June of 2002. We have four amazing and wonderful children. Zeb was born in 2004, Isabelle in 2005, Anna Grace in 2008, and Molly in 2009.
I have a lot of hobbies that I bounce between. Some of the things I like to do are: fishing, hiking, bicycling, computers, reading, and talking theology.
I have a real passion for telling people about how much God loves them. Whether we’ve been in the church our whole lives or have never attended a church service, we have no idea the breadth and depth and height of God’s love for us. He really values each and everyone one of us, and that is such good news.
